Waste Disposal and Classification

  • Organic solvent:

All liquid organic wastes are collected into 5-liter plastic container. Once filled the container is transfered into 30 L blue container. Blue container is labelled as liquid organic waste and transfered to the department's waste room.

  • Aqueous liquid wastes:

Aqueous solutions are collected on the basis of acidic or basic.

  • Solid wastes:

Solid waste such as silica, magnesium sulfate etc. are collected into 5-liter plastic container. Once filled, the container is transfered into 30 L blue container. Blue container is labelled as solid waste and transfered to the department's waste room.

  • Sharp materials:

Pasteur pipettes, syringe and needles are collected into plastic containers, and disposed as solids.

​

  • Chemical containers:

They are disposed as solid wastes.
